The city is centrally located with easy access to Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast, Chapala (the largest lake in Mexico), the town of Tequila (birthplace of tequila), and the charming colonial city of Guanajuato. 
 

Guadalajara enjoys a subtropical highland climate with mild temperatures year-round. Summers (June to September) are warm with frequent thunderstorms, while winters (December to February) are cooler, with occasional frost. Spring and fall offer the most pleasant weather, ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. 
 

As a hub for mariachi music and large-scale cultural events like the Guadalajara International Film Festival, the city attracts an international audience, making it a dynamic and exciting place to study and live.

Guadalajara is famous for its rich culinary traditions, which are deeply rooted in the region's history and culture.

Famous dishes from Guadalajara:
  1. Birria is a savory and spicy stew made with slow-cooked goat or beef. It's usually served with corn tortillas, chopped onions, cilantro, and lime.
  2. Tortas ahogadas, which are soft bread rolls stuffed with fried pork and drowned in a spicy tomato sauce. Pozole is another hearty and delicious stew that's made with hominy corn, meat, and spices.
  3. Finally, don't forget to try tequila, which is produced in the nearby town of Tequila and is considered one of the best in the world.

UAG provides a dedicated bus service for students near the ICB area, offering easy transport between the ICB campus and the international campus
