Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) announced the future opening of its new international campus for medical students coming from the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada in the city of Guadalajara, a facility located just minutes away from its main campus.
This new specialized campus will offer immersive simulation learning spaces to reinforce clinical knowledge and improve future doctors' team communication and decision-making skills.

Founded in 1935, Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara has had a long-standing commitment to quality education, and more than 18.000 doctors have graduated from its International Medicine Program.
Last year, UAG joined the Cintana Alliance as the only member from Mexico, allowing its medical students to benefit from collaboration with one of the most innovative institutions in the world, Arizona State University (ASU).

UAG's Medicine Program is accredited by the Mexican Commission of Medical Accreditation (COMAEM), an institution recognized in the US.
Specially designed for US and Puerto Rico Medicine students, this program offers top clinical rotation sites in US and Puerto Rico hospitals and clinical experience in the Mexican healthcare system.

"The process started when we decided the relocation and expansion to a new and specialized campus for our international medical students, staff, and superb faculty. We are bringing to the new campus the latest educational technology, including a state-of-the-art medical simulation center," said the President of the UAG, Antonio Leaño Reyes.
"Also, our recent partnership with Arizona State University allows us to offer an enriched International Medicine Program, giving students a broader and more well-rounded set of skills and perspectives, which will ultimately increase their competitiveness in their future careers."
