DOCUMENTS 
To comply with the U.S. educational system and register applicants with the Mexican Department of Education, the documentation listed below are required: 
  • Copy of birth certificate 
  • Official college transcript(s) (from every institution attended) 
  • Official MCAT scores (Exam must have been taken within the last three years) 
  • 2 to 3-page typewritten personal statement 
  • A composite letter of recommendation from your premedical committee or 3 letters from your college science professors (addressed to Admissions Committee) 
  • 1 passport size full-face photo, with white to off-white background 
  • Copy of valid passport

PERSONAL INTERVIEW 
 
INTERVIEW PREPARATION

For those who are applying to UAG School of Medicine, we recommend that you prepare for your interview.  
  1. Please arrive on time and dressed appropriately for in-person interviews. If the interview is conducted via virtual meeting, please begin the meeting promptly. 
  2. Prepare to discuss how you overcame adversity in your life and the lessons you learned. You must be able to speak meaningfully about yourself. 
  3. Interviews are an important part of the Admissions Committee's decision-making process, but they are not a guarantee of admission. 
NEXT STEPS AFTER THE INTERVIEW 
After your interview, you must submit the following documents: 
  • Original birth certificate* 
  • Official high school transcript(s)** (GED is not accepted in lieu of High School) 
  • Copy of high school diploma** 

* With Apostille only (Acquired through the Secretary of State from the state in which the documents originated) 

** With notarization and Apostille seal 
 

A UAG School of Medicine admissions counselor will contact you if your application is incomplete, your qualifications do not meet our admissions requirements or invite you for an interview.

Note: An admissions counselor will walk you through the process of legalizing documents from countries other than the United States and Puerto Rico.  

Statement: The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request additional information from the applicant and decline admissions at any stage of the process. 

By employing the broadest range of evaluation criteria, the Admissions Department will present qualified applicants to the Admissions Committee.
