Project IMG is proud to announce the launch of its Shadowing Program, an exciting new opportunity designed to help medical students bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical application.

This program focuses on three key pillars—confidence, competence, and character—giving students the chance to grow not only as future physicians but also as well-rounded professionals. Through guided observation and structured experiences, students will transition from simply watching medicine in action to applying knowledge and skills in preparation for their upcoming clinical rotations.

By participating, students will gain:
  • Exposure to clinical environments that provide real-world context to their studies.
  • Professional development opportunities that sharpen communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
  • Hands-on learning experiences that help solidify their medical foundation and prepare them for success.
Caleb Ramirez-Rivera, President of Project IMG at UAG, shared his excitement for the initiative:

“We can’t wait to see the impact this experience will have on the next generation of physicians.”

The Shadowing Program is more than just an opportunity—it’s a steppingstone toward becoming the kind of physician patients can trust and colleagues can rely on.
