


Students from the United States and Puerto Rico will prepare to become “UAG-trained” physicians


As part of its 90th anniversary, UAG hosted “The Experience By UAG,” where International Program medical students showcased faculty-mentored academic projects and a TED-style talk, highlighting innovation, creativity, and the university’s commitment to world-class medical education.


UAG School of Medicine held a three-day Leadership & Faculty Development Retreat that united academic leaders and faculty to strengthen collaboration, drive curricular innovation, and align on the future of medical education.


UAG continues its Student Information Sessions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, connecting with future physicians and sharing insights into its global medical education—next stop, California!


Over the past two weeks, UAG hosted successful Student Information Sessions across multiple U.S. states and Puerto Rico, engaging prospective students, families, and advisors while highlighting its International MD Program and growing interest in medical education at UAG.


On July 25, the UAG School of Medicine hosted a highly successful Interest Group Fair, featuring over 25 student-led booths that celebrated medical specialties, leadership programs, and a strong sense of community among students.


The UAG School of Medicine welcomed the Class of 2029—160 future physicians from the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico—into its International Medical Program, marking the start of their transformative journey in medicine.


International Medical Program graduates from Puerto Rico and the U.S. celebrated their commencement, marking the culmination of their studies and the start of their journey as medical professionals.














UAG School of Medicine hosted Research Day to highlight the growth of its research program, showcasing new abstracts, international conference participation, and expanding collaborations with leading global institutions.




In October 2024, UAG School of Medicine hosted the “Let’s Make Doctors” Pre-Med Advisor Summit in Guadalajara, welcoming U.S. advisors to explore its medical program and commitment to training future physicians.
























At the Premed Advisors Summit 2024, UAG School of Medicine alumnus and keynote speaker Dr. Aristides Colón Peña reconnected with his alma mater and met with newly appointed Dean Dr. Kashif Ahmad.
