Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Eduardo Rosas-Blum, Physician, Leader, Entrepreneur

Dr. Eduardo Rosas-Blum, UAG graduate, is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist in El Paso, former Division Chief at Texas Tech El Paso, and 2019 El Paso Children’s Hospital Physician of the Year.

Dr. Eduardo Rosas-Blum
Dr. Eduardo Rosas-Blum is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and entrepreneur based in El Paso, Texas. After graduating from UAG School of Medicine, he completed his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso and his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Dr. Rosas-Blum served as Division Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso for six years, leading clinical services, teaching, and research. In 2019, he was honored as El Paso Children’s Hospital Physician of the Year and is a proud member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), recognizing his commitment to excellence in medicine.
He later founded Pediatric GI of El Paso, an independent practice that has expanded access for patients with diverse gastrointestinal and nutritional needs. The clinic has added a multidisciplinary Feeding Clinic and specialized nutritional services, providing comprehensive care for children with complex conditions.

His advice to current students: Be perseverant and never give up on your dreams. The path in medicine is demanding, but with dedication and resilience, you can overcome challenges and achieve meaningful impact. The lessons and resilience gained at UAG helped shape the physician and leader he is today.
