We are delighted to announce that the abstract titled “Clinical Case Report: Acute Vascular Distress Syndrome (AVDS) of Bronchial Mucosa in Post COVID-19 Infection” has been accepted for poster presentation at the 45th Annual Research and Education Forum of the Medical Sciences Compound of the University of Puerto Rico. This outstanding work was prepared by Dr. Diane Mankin, a proud UAG graduate from the Class of 2022 who is currently excelling as an intern physician at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo.

Dr. Mankin’s innovative research was conducted in collaboration with Dr. William Ramos and under the expert guidance of Dr. Frankie Alvarado, also a distinguished UAG alumnus and a pulmonologist at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo.
