Celebrating Excellence: UAG Graduates Shine at the 45th Annual Research and Education Forum

We are delighted to announce that the abstract titled “Clinical Case Report: Acute Vascular Distress Syndrome (AVDS) of Bronchial Mucosa in Post COVID-19 Infection” has been accepted for poster presentation at the 45th Annual Research and Education Forum of the Medical Sciences Compound of the University of Puerto Rico. This outstanding work was prepared by Dr. Diane Mankin, a proud UAG graduate from the Class of 2022 who is currently excelling as an intern physician at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo.

We are delighted to announce that the abstract titled “Clinical Case Report: Acute Vascular Distress Syndrome (AVDS) of Bronchial Mucosa in Post COVID-19 Infection” has been accepted for poster presentation at the 45th Annual Research and Education Forum of the Medical Sciences Compound of the University of Puerto Rico. This outstanding work was prepared by Dr. Diane Mankin, a proud UAG graduate from the Class of 2022 who is currently excelling as an intern physician at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo.

Dr. Mankin’s innovative research was conducted in collaboration with Dr. William Ramos and under the expert guidance of Dr. Frankie Alvarado, also a distinguished UAG alumnus and a pulmonologist at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo. Their combined efforts and dedication highlight the rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence that UAG instills in its graduates.
 

This remarkable achievement not only reflects the individual excellence of our alumni but also underscores the collaborative spirit and high-quality clinical education provided at UAG School of Medicine. The hard work of our interns during their medical internship at Hospital Pavia de Arecibo has been exemplary, paving the way for successful careers in medicine.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Diane Mankin, Dr. Frankie Alvarado, and all the dedicated interns who continue to push the boundaries of medical research. Your accomplishments are an inspiration to current and future UAG students, reinforcing our commitment to shaping exceptional healthcare professionals.
