Dr. Danielle Garcia and Dr. Sandra Lozano Lead New Alumni Initiatives
The UAG Alumni Global Network continues its remarkable growth with the creation of two new chapters in Dallas and Houston, Texas. These chapters aim to strengthen connections among alumni, foster professional collaboration, and celebrate the shared experiences of graduates from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) School of Medicine.

Building Community in Texas
The launch of these chapters will provide UAG alumni in Texas with new opportunities to reconnect, collaborate, and engage in initiatives that highlight their accomplishments and strengthen ties to their alma mater. Spearheading this effort are two accomplished alumni: Dr. Danielle Garcia in Houston and Dr. Sandra Lozano in Dallas.

Dr. Danielle Garcia, a proud native of Clear Lake, Houston, brings her passion for family medicine and her deep-rooted connection to the UAG community to this new chapter. Her journey from Guadalajara to Houston reflects the transformative experience many UAG graduates share. After earning her medical degree in 2018, Dr. Garcia completed her clinical rotations in Chicago and her residency in family medicine at UT Health San Antonio. She now practices alongside her father in Houston, serving her local community with dedication.

“I am thrilled to help establish the Houston chapter of the
UAG Alumni Association. UAG gave me the tools and experiences to thrive in my career, and I look forward to building a community where fellow alumni can share their journeys, collaborate, and inspire one another,” said Dr. Garcia.

In Dallas, Dr. Sandra G. Lozano, Medical Director of Public Health for Dallas County Health and Human Services, will lead the charge. A passionate advocate for healthcare equity and maternal child health, Dr. Lozano has dedicated her career to improving public health outcomes. Her extensive experience in private practice, public health leadership, and preventive medicine positions her as a dynamic leader for the Dallas chapter.

“Creating a strong alumni presence in Dallas is an exciting opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the impact of UAG graduates in healthcare and beyond. I hope to foster a space where we can share knowledge, mentor new generations, and continue to make a difference in our communities,” Dr. Lozano emphasized.

A Growing UAG Alumni Network
The addition of the Dallas and Houston chapters reflects the UAG Alumni Association's commitment to strengthening its presence in the United States. With existing chapters in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the U.S., the network is an invaluable platform for professional development, mentorship, and cultural exchange.
