In the fast-paced world of emergency medicine, some individuals stand out for their exceptional dedication and expertise. Dr. John F. Bragan, an esteemed alumnus of the UAG School of Medicine, is one such exemplary professional who has been making a significant impact in the field. With an extensive range of expertise and a career marked by excellence, he has solidified his position as a top-tier medical professional. 

Dr. Bragan's journey to becoming a distinguished emergency physician began with his academic pursuits. In 1973, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston College. Armed with a deep-seated passion for healthcare, he ventured further, obtaining his medical degree from the UAG School of Medicine in 1978. His unwavering commitment to his craft led him to pursue a residency in emergency medicine at Cooper Medical Center in 1979. 
Dr. Bragan has dedicated his career to the specialized fields of emergency medicine and sports medicine. As a board-certified emergency physician, he has earned the trust and respect of both his patients and peers. Dr. Bragan's experience encompasses a wide range of critical medical areas, including critical care, pneumonia, rapid sequence intubation, laceration repair, cardiac arrest, and trauma. 
Dr. Bragan's professional affiliations highlight his commitment to delivering exceptional medical care. He is affiliated with several prominent hospitals in the San Antonio, Texas area, including CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights, Baptist Emergency Hospital, and Baptist Neighborhood Hospital – Zarzamora. 

In recognition of his contributions and accomplishments, Dr. Bragan is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. His dedication to his craft is further evidenced by his board certification in emergency medicine, conferred by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, which is indicative of his unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in medical practice. 

Dr. Bragan's journey from a UAG alumnus to a distinguished emergency physician exemplifies the embodiment of commitment, expertise, and compassionate patient care.
