A knowledgeable internist, Dr. Velez sees patients at his private practice in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
With a broad educational background, he earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 1989, before completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in 1994.
Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
