UAG Alumni Chapter Shines Bright in Arizona
Under the stunning night skies of Phoenix, the UAG Arizona Alumni Chapter was officially launched under the leadership of Dr. Alexander Sabre!
The celebration took place at The Henry in Arcadia, where alumni from across generations — from the class of the 1970s all the way to 2025 — gathered for a warm and lively dinner hosted by the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG).
Messages from Lic. Antonio Leaño Reyes, President of Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, and Susana Leaño, Vice President for International Affairs UAG, reminded everyone that UAG’s values of empathy, service, and excellence continue to guide its graduates in every corner of the world.
Distinguished alumni in attendance included Dr. Victor Tome (’74), Dr. Joseph Edwards (’77), Dr. Marco Antonio Celaya (’04), Dr. George Ide (’13), Dr. Dagmarie Cruz Rodríguez (’17), Dr. Carlos Robles (’17), Dr. Heriberto Martínez (’21), Adriana Rivera (’22), Dr. Raymond Martínez (’24), Dr. Stephanie González (’25), Dr. Savad Nael Torres (’25), Dr. Nicole Tirado Lugo (’25), Dr. Arnell Franceschi (’25), Dr. Perla Acevedo, Dr. Jessica Benavides (’25), and Joshua Herrera (’25).
Dr. Sabre connected with everyone, sparking ideas for future collaborations, community projects, and fun get-togethers — including sports events to keep the UAG family spirit strong in Arizona.
As the evening wrapped up, one feeling united the room: the UAG spirit is alive and thriving — wherever our graduates go.
Because once UAG, always UAG. ❤️💛
