Over 100 first-semester UAG medical students attended their first B1 Review Session, led by student TAs, to strengthen knowledge, practice clinical thinking, and prepare for USMLE-style assessments.
More than 100 first-semester students at the UAG School of Medicine gathered in the upper auditorium for their first B1 Review Session, organized as part of the school’s commitment to early academic success and preparation for USMLE-style assessments.
The interactive session was led by four outstanding student Teaching Assistants (TAs):
Spanning 70 minutes of high-impact content, the review focused on priority topics and clinical thinking strategies essential for the first partial exam. Students engaged with key subjects such as biochemistry, histology, anatomy, and evidence-based medicine.
TAs also shared personal tips, high-yield concepts, and test-taking strategies to help peers strengthen their knowledge and approach complex clinical questions with confidence.
From energy metabolism to cell signaling, this initiative showcased peer collaboration in action—another step forward in shaping prepared, supportive, and successful future physicians.
This is what academic excellence looks like.
