UAG School of Medicine Forms Strategic Alliance with Project IMG to Strengthen Residency Pathways

The UAG School of Medicine International Program proudly welcomed Michael Hermosa, Chief Unity Agent of Project IMG, and Board Member Zuly Gómez to campus for the launch of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing medical students’ residency applications.

The UAG School of Medicine International Program proudly welcomed Michael Hermosa, Chief Unity Agent of Project IMG, and Board Member Zuly Gómez to campus for the launch of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing medical students’ residency applications.
 

Through this alliance, UAG students will gain exclusive access to a wide range of membership benefits, including medical research opportunities, specialized courses, clinical rotations, USMLE preparation, networking events, and webinars.
 

During the inaugural event, which was well-attended by more than 100 students, Dean Kashif Ahmad, Michael Hermosa, Lorena López (Director of Student Success), and Zuly Gómez addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of this collaboration.

"This partnership aligns with our mission to provide students with comprehensive support throughout their medical education and residency journey," said Dr. Kashif Ahmad, Dean of UAG School of Medicine International Program.

Michael Hermosa, COO of Project IMG, praised UAG's commitment to student success, stating, "UAG School of Medicine is setting a new standard by prioritizing a student-centered approach that ensures ongoing guidance and resources for future physicians."

The event also reinforced the importance of
collaborative efforts between medical institutions and professional organizations to support students beyond the classroom. This groundbreaking alliance sets a precedent for medical schools worldwide, highlighting the value of continuous mentorship and professional development throughout a student’s medical journey.

The chapter is exclusive to UAG School of Medicine students and does not include other medical schools in Mexico.
 

With this partnership, UAG School of Medicine continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in innovative medical education and student success.
