UAG Students Present Research at ASN Kidney Week 2025

UAG proudly celebrates its medical students’ participation at the 2025 American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week, where they presented research on a rare case of multiple myeloma under the mentorship of Dr. Andrés Aranda, showcasing UAG’s commitment to global medical research and education.

The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) proudly celebrates the participation of its medical students at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week 2025, one of the world’s most important gatherings in kidney medicine and clinical research.

Representing UAG, David Maldonado Ruiz, Dharaliz Díaz Adames, Adolfo Antompietri Lugo, and Naara Rivera Maldonado presented their poster titled:

 

“Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome Triggered by Hypercalcemia: An Atypical Debut of Multiple Myeloma.”

This academic achievement was made possible under the mentorship of Dr. Andrés Aranda G. de Quevedo UAG’s leading nephrologist who provided the clinical case and guided the students throughout the research and presentation process.

The team took part in the event’s academic exchange, engaging with peers and professionals from around the world while highlighting UAG’s dedication to advancing medical research.
