UAG Welcomes Back Dr. Charles Kandler

UAG proudly welcomed alumnus and board-certified Urologist Dr. Charles Kandler back to campus, celebrating his outstanding career and continued connection to the university.

The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) was honored to welcome back one of its distinguished alumni, Dr. Charles Kandler, during his recent visit to campus. A respected Urologist practicing in Rockville Centre, New York, Dr. Kandler’s journey from UAG medical student to board-certified specialist serves as an inspiring example for current and future generations of students.
 

A Proud UAG Graduate

Dr. Kandler earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. His time at UAG helped lay the foundation for a career defined by skill, service, and dedication to patient care. Returning to campus allowed him to reconnect with the place where his medical journey began and to reflect on the experiences that shaped his professional path.

Extensive Training and Board Certification

After graduating from UAG, Dr. Kandler completed rigorous residency training in both General Surgery and Urology, with clinical experience at institutions including:

  • Nassau County Medical Center
  • NY Medical College / Metropolitan Hospital Center
  • Westchester Medical Center
  • Nassau University Medical Center
He is board certified by the American Board of Urology, holding certifications issued in 1985, 1995, and 2003 a testament to his continued commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.
 

A Leader in Urologic Care

Today, Dr. Kandler practices in Rockville Centre, NY, where he provides comprehensive urologic care to patients across Long Island. Fluent in English and Spanish, he serves a diverse patient population and is currently welcoming new patients to his practice.

Dr. Charles Kandler’s return highlights the enduring bond between UAG and its alumni. His dedication to patient care, continuous professional growth, and commitment to serving his community exemplify the values of the university.
