Dr. Cervantes is a respected dermatologist with the University Health System in San Antonio, Texas. A graduate of Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, Dr. Cervantes relocated to the United States to further her training. She completed her residency at CHRISTUS Spohn Memorial Hospital, followed by her fellowship in dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).

The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects.

A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures. University Health System - Robert B. Green Campus is a primary and acute minor care for all ages. Specialty services include neurology, ear, nose and throat care, anticoagulation services, and behavioral health services. The providers also provide obstetric and pediatric care for patients.
