Her goal is to provide the highest quality of care for the entire family, including pediatrics, family care, women’s health, elder care, as well as any day-to-day health issue in a calm relaxing friendly environment.

Aspen Family Medicine and Geriatrics began in 2002 as John A. Fagan Family Practice and operated for twelve years proudly serving the community of Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding areas.  In 2012, Dr. Fagan along with Physicians Assistant, Jocelyn Tomista decided to expand their ability to provide compassionate and quality care to their patients by welcoming aboard Dr. Mike Zuniga and Dr. Darlene Espinosa. They are dedicated to helping patients find answers to their medical questions and providing them and their families with the quality medical care they deserve.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University, Dr. Espinosa earned her medical degree from the New York Medical College and the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. She then went on to complete the University of Kansas Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, accredited by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Among her various accolades, Dr. Espinosa has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award in 2018.

Born and raised in South Texas, she attributes her success to her persistence, hard work, dedication, and compassion. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and traveling. Her favorite place to vacation is Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
