In 1998, Dr. Soto received a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico. He subsequently moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, where he completed the International Medical Program at the UAG School of Medicine in four years and graduated in 2002. In 2010, he graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus with a Master of Public Health degree and finished his medical internship at Mutual Aid Hospital.
A general practitioner (GP) or family physician is a physician who treats acute and chronic ailments, as well as provides preventive care and health education to patients of all ages. General practitioners' responsibilities are not limited to certain areas of medicine, and they have particular expertise in managing patients with diverse health conditions.
