The UAG School of Medicine is expanding U.S. clinical opportunities, with Florida now approved for long-term clerkships starting in 2026, giving students access to diverse hospitals and patient populations to prepare for residency and medical careers.
The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) School of Medicine is excited to expand its U.S. clinical footprint with Florida now joining the list of states where students can pursue long-term clinical clerkships beginning in 2026.
This new approval represents a significant step forward in UAG’s ongoing mission to connect international medical education with the evolving needs of the U.S. healthcare system. By gaining access to Florida’s dynamic network of hospitals and clinics students will be able to train in a state recognized for its cultural diversity, population growth, and expanding demand for healthcare professionals.
For UAG students this development creates opportunities to learn in a wide range of medical environments. From large urban hospitals to community-based clinics, exposure to Florida’s broad spectrum of patient populations and healthcare challenges will provide valuable preparation for residency applications and long-term careers in medicine.
The approval also highlights UAG’s continued focus on building meaningful partnerships that benefit both its students and the communities they serve. By expanding clinical opportunities across the U.S. UAG is reinforcing its reputation as a leader in global medical education and strengthening pathways for its graduates to contribute to the U.S. healthcare workforce.
Each new approval reflects our commitment to giving students the training, experience, and confidence to succeed,” added Dr. Ahmad. “Florida is an exciting addition to our clinical network and marks another important step in our effort to create world-class opportunities for our students.
