Dr. Rafael Del Valle Díaz, a 2014 UAG alumni, is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Specialist from Puerto Rico. With a strong blend of academic, clinical, and administrative expertise, Dr. Del Valle has dedicated his career to improving patient care and advancing medical practices.
After earning his medical degree, he assisted in establishing a Fifth Pathway program at Centro Medico Menonita de Cayey where he stood out as Chief – Pre – Intern. He continued his medical education at Hospital Pavía Arecibo where he held the Chief intern position. He then completed his residency at Manatí Medical Center, achieving recognition as a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Throughout his career, he has held various significant roles, including serving as Medical Director for Morovis Community Health Center, ACGME resident representative, and recently as Chief Medical Director for Del Valle Family Clinic at Utuado, Puerto Rico. As a Family Medicine Specialist, he has extensive experience managing patient care in outpatient settings and emergency departments, ensuring comprehensive treatment with a biopsychosocial approach.
In addition to his clinical work, he is a dedicated educator and mentor, actively involved in teaching and guiding future healthcare professionals. His contributions to medical research include numerous poster presentations and publications, earning him several awards for his clinical studies.
Dr. Del Valle strives to shape the future of Puerto Rico’s healthcare system through patient care, education, and community activity. His initiatives are instrumental in moving healthcare services quality and accessibility to the highest standards.
