UAG School of Medicine offers 3 Scholarship Programs that are available only to first-time candidates planning to enroll in the UAG Medical School beginning from the first semester.
UAG offers a variety of scholarships and tools on how to acquire a medical school scholarship, which can assist prospective physicians in defraying the expense of their medical education.
To be considered for a scholarship, students must submit an application by:

The Scholarship Committee will make the award decision based on your application, documents, and personal interview.
After receiving and reviewing your application, the committee will select twenty-five possible candidates.
The scholarship applies for 4 years of medical school, without interruptions during their studies, and remain in good disciplinary and academic standing.
All recipients must qualify each semester by completing the Scholarships application on time and meeting academic standards.

All selected awarded recipients will be notified in writing by the UAG admissions office.
INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
CRITERIA
Incoming applicants to the School of Medicine are eligible to receive an institutional scholarship award. Students may receive up to $26,000 in tuition assistance over a four-year period. All scholarships are one-time awards and are subject to funding availability.
• Be admitted to UAG Medical School.
• This scholarship is open to incoming first-semester students only.
• Complete and submit the scholarship application and send it to admissions@uag.edu
• MCAT score of 500 or higher.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
ELEGIBILITY
The awarding committee will consider the following criteria when selecting eligible applicants for this scholarship in addition to the basic eligibility requirements listed above:
• A two- to three-page essay outlining your history and the development of your interest and desire for a future in medicine.
• Clinical experience, including shadowing/preceptorships.
• Special honors or recognition.

ALUMNI LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
CRITERIA
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship award was established to encourage future generations to enroll in and graduate from UAG School of Medicine. The scholarship is available to any children and grandchildren of UAG School of Medicine alumni who are pursuing a degree in medicine.
The award is $2,500 per year and the Scholarship Committee will make the award decision based on your application, documents, and personal interview.

SIBLING SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
CRITERIA
Let’s keep UAG in the family. The Sibling Scholarship is awarded to siblings attending UAG School of Medicine International Program. Only new incoming students will earn the award.
The award is $2,500 per year and the Scholarship Committee will make the award decision based on your application, documents, and personal interview.

SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL
Scholarship recipients must complete and submit an application each semester to review and renew the Scholarship and send it to isao@uag.edu

After receiving and reviewing the renewal application, the committee will evaluate and consult the candidate’s files. The scholarship committee will decide based on your application, documents and school reports.
