Starting in Year 1, students will care for real patients supported by a team of expert healthcare professionals through clinical immersion and engagement in service-learning activities with a rich network of community clinics and agencies.
Students will have the opportunity to practice live simulated cases at our
state-of-the-art simulation center throughout the
medical curriculum. The Center uses sophisticated high-fidelity realistic life-like Human Patient Simulators (HPS), virtual training products, and advanced technologies to provide students with an interactive learning experience in a safe and controlled environment. This will help students mirror real-life inpatient spaces, operating rooms, and ambulatory settings. These activities are integrated into the curriculum to improve patient outcomes with effective programs promoting and enhancing practitioner skills, clinical competence, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
