Gabriela Colima Ph.D. is a Research Professor of the International Program of Medicine at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara where she is in charge of the subjects of Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Research methods. Dr Colima is a graduate of Universidad de Guadalajara, she has a B.S. degree in Biological and pharmaceutical chemistry (2012), an M.S. degree (2016), and Ph.D. (2018) in Human Genetics. At present, she is a member of the National Research System (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores - CONACyT) in Mexico. Her research focuses on Genetic markers of metabolic diseases, mainly in the molecular study of dyslipidemias in the Mexican population. She has also collaborated in projects related to biotechnology such as the production of bacteriocins by Lactobacillus reuteri. Currently, she is interested in including Biomarkers in cancer and the study of the microbiome within her research.
