In 2014, HealthPoint Medical Group, Morton Plant Mease Primary Care and Specialists, St. Anthony’s Primary Care and Specialists, and Suncoast Medical Clinic formed to become BayCare Medical Group. Today, it is the largest multi-specialty physician group in the greater Tampa Bay area, with more than 500 providers and over 45 specialties.

The mission of BayCare is to “improve the health of all we serve through community-owned health care services that set the standard for high-quality, compassionate care.
Dr. Gierbolini has a diverse educational background, earning his undergraduate degree in biology from the Universidad de Puerto Rico in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Damas Hospital in 2012 and his neurology residency at the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida in 2015.

As a testament to his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Staying up to date in his field, Dr. Gierbolini is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

On a more personal note, Dr. Gierbolini is fluent in English and Spanish.
