Dr. Salvatore J. Dellacona, UAG School of Medicine alumni, is making an impact in the field of emergency medicine through his dedicated private practice.

Dr. Dellacona's remarkable journey commenced with the successful completion of his medical degree at the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Mexico in 1979. He then ventured to the United States, where he honed his expertise by undertaking a rigorous emergency medicine residency at SUNY Health Science Center at Stony Brook.

As a testament to his exceptional skills, Dr. Dellacona has earned recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). His excellence in emergency medicine is further underscored by his board-certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), an institution renowned for upholding rigorous educational, professional, and examination standards.

Emergency medicine, a crucial specialty focused on the immediate care of patients with acute illnesses or injuries, has found a true champion in Dr. Dellacona. Serving tirelessly in the emergency department, he provides compassionate and expert care to acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
