Graduating with a medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 1977, Dr. Cruz Melendez embarked on a journey of continuous learning and specialization. His educational pursuits included an internship at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center, and a one-year anesthesiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
