Houston, Texas - Victor Salcedo, a distinguished alumnus of the UAG School of Medicine, has been making a significant impact on the healthcare landscape in Texas.

As a board-certified pulmonologist, Dr. Salcedo carries on the legacy of
 Houston Chest Internistsproviding compassionate quality care to patients with pulmonary diseases, critical care illnesses, and sleep disorders. His unwavering dedication to improving their health and well-being has further enhanced their overall quality of life.

Dr. Salcedo's journey toward becoming a prominent
pulmonologist began with his medical education at the UAG School of Medicine in Mexico. Equipped with his medical degree, he decided to pursue further training in the United States. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Driven by his passion for pulmonary medicine and critical care, Dr. Salcedo then completed fellowships in pulmonary disease and critical care at Walter Reed Medical Center. His extensive training and expertise in these specialized fields have positioned him as a leading authority in diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions and critical care illnesses.

The dedication to excellence in patient care has earned Dr. Salcedo multiple
board certifications, including internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), an organization driven by physicians aiming to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Salcedo's achievements do not end there; he proudly holds prestigious titles as a
Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), and a Fellow of the American Society of Sleep Medicine. These esteemed fellowships underscore his commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in his field and further honing his expertise.

Beyond his professional affiliations, Dr. Salcedo is an active member of the
Harris County Medical Society, where he has held significant roles, including Vice President of the Southwest Branch in 2002 and Chairman of the Medical Ethics Committee from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, he is an esteemed member of the Hispanic American Medical Association of Houston. 

While medicine is his primary focus, Dr. Salcedo finds solace and enjoyment in traveling to Puerto Rico during his leisure time. Furthermore, he remains engaged in continuous learning by regularly reading professional publications, with a particular fondness for esteemed journals like
CHEST and the New England Journal of Medicine. 

With a remarkable career as a compassionate pulmonologist, esteemed fellowships, and unwavering dedication to patient care, Dr. Victor Salcedo stands as a
