Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara hosted a “Mamaratón” organized by DEM Bañuelos which seeks to prevent breast cancer by performing free breast ultrasounds. During the 2 days, DEM Bañuelos performed 1,000 free breast ultrasound exams. Workshops and conferences, given by field experts, were also held to increase awareness among women and men about the importance of self-examination and signs in detecting breast cancer.
