We were thrilled to announce that the UAG School of Medicine International Program participated as a Platinum Sponsor at the 2024 Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) National Conference, which took place from September 20-22, 2024, in Los Angeles, California! The event, held during Hispanic Heritage Month, brought together over 1,000 Hispanic medical and pre-med students to connect with medical schools and residency programs. We were excited to take part in the Exhibitor Fair, providing us with a valuable opportunity to engage with LMSA members and chapters as we continued to attract future students to our international program.
This vital event brought together medical and pre-medical students, faculty, and healthcare professionals dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of Latino and Hispanic communities while empowering the next generation of Latino physicians.

As part of its 90th anniversary, UAG hosted “The Experience By UAG,” where International Program medical students showcased faculty-mentored academic projects and a TED-style talk, highlighting innovation, creativity, and the university’s commitment to world-class medical education.

UAG School of Medicine held a three-day Leadership & Faculty Development Retreat that united academic leaders and faculty to strengthen collaboration, drive curricular innovation, and align on the future of medical education.

UAG School of Medicine welcomed renowned medical educator Dr. Neil Osheroff for a three-day visit that fostered academic collaboration, faculty development, and innovative approaches to advancing medical education.
