Valley Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Ivannette Juarbe-Ramos, MD, as Chair of Primary and Urgent Care Services and Medical Director of Quality for Valley Medical Group.

Dr. Juarbe-Ramos is board certified in family medicine. She loves that as a family medicine physician, she can establish a long-standing relationship with patients. “Building a real rapport with patients gives me the opportunity to have both a positive effect on the quality of life and overall health span of my patients.”

Prior to Valley, Dr. Juarbe-Ramos served as the Regional Medical Director and Quality Medical Director for Adult Medicine at Sun River Health in New York. She is also a board member of the American Heart Association’s chapter in Westchester, New York.

“I love what I do and the possibility of making a positive impact on my patients is what motivates me to continually be a better practitioner,” said Dr. Juarbe-Ramos. “I believe it is important that patients take an active role in their own healthcare, and we can help them build self-efficacy in order to maximize their potential quality of health.”

“We are excited to have Dr. Juarbe-Ramos join the Valley team,” said Robert Brenner, MD, President of Clinical Integration and Physician Enterprise for Valley Health System. “Her leadership experience will be vital to the operations of our primary and urgent care services.”

Dr. Juarbe-Ramos received her medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. She completed a residency in family and community medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and a traditional residency program at Hospital Damas in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
