Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine International Program receives the Accreditation plaque from the Mexican Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAEM).

The commemorative  COMAEM plaque was unveiled in the presence of authorities, professors, and collaborators.

Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine International Program receives the Accreditation plaque from the Mexican Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAEM).

Antonio Leaño Reyes, UAG President, Antonio Leaño del Castillo, UAG Vice-President, Juan Carlos Leaño del Castillo, UAG Executive Vice-President, Susana Leaño del Castillo, UAG Vice-President of International Affairs, Hugo de la Rosa, UAG Academic Vice-President, Dr. Alfonso Petersen, Dean of the Health Sciences Area, Dr. Christopher Reeder, Dean of the International Medical Program, Dr. Kashif Ahmad, Dean of Medical Education, Dr. Miranda Robledo, Academic Director of the School of Medicine, Ricardo del Castillo Ruano, Counselor of the International Medical Program, Dr. Beatriz Tinoco Torres, Director of the School of Medicine (Spanish Program), and Dr. Zeta Melva Triana Contreras on behalf of COMAEM attended the tour of the facilities at the Center for Simulated Patient Care and the International Campus.

The COMAEM plaque was soon unveiled in the Auditorium, where Dr. Triana Contreras spoke momentarily to the crowd. In her remarks, she noted that this accomplishment shows the educational quality of the institution and its efforts to stay current, prepared, and demonstrate the institution's ability to adapt, change, and its challenges. In a message to the university community and visitors, President Antonio Leaño Reyes also stated that accreditation is one of the tools the UAG uses to strengthen and show its commitment to academic excellence.

Lastly, Susana Leaño, Vice-President of International Affairs thanked the work and dedication of the collaborators and the accreditation committee of the UAG School of Medicine International Program that ensures that quality standards are maintained.
What is COMAEM?
The Mexican Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAEM) is a civil association whose function is to evaluate and accredit national and international medical training programs at the undergraduate level through a set of academic, technical, and administrative guidelines to promote the quality of medical education.

What are the benefits of studying at a school or university accredited by COMAEM?
An accredited program offers the security of meeting national and international requirements so that education is achieved with high levels of quality, in this way a student who aspires to take an accredited program, or who is already taking it, has the confidence of that your preparation is well oriented and only requires personal effort to achieve your goals.
