






UAG Alumni Chapter Shines Bright in Arizona


UAG proudly celebrates alumnus Dr. Adolfo Ramirez-Zamora on his appointment as Chair of Neurology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, a testament to his leadership and dedication to advancing neurological care.


The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) celebrated the launch of its New Mexico Alumni Chapter in Albuquerque, led by Dr. Julie Harrigan, uniting graduates in a night that highlighted UAG’s lasting spirit of empathy, service, and community.


The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) proudly hosted Retorno 2025, a series of heartfelt reunions honoring alumni who have reached milestone anniversaries—25, 35, 50, and even 60 years since graduating.


UAG proudly welcomed back distinguished alumnus Dr. William E. Starr (Class of 1978), now Medical Director of Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery at Ventura County Medical Center, as he toured the campus and celebrated the school’s continued growth in medical education and innovation.


UAG alumnus Dr. Rafael J. Sepulveda-Acosta presented at the California Sleep Society Symposium, sharing key insights on the link between obesity and sleep apnea while advocating for greater clinician awareness and multidisciplinary care—an inspiring example of UAG excellence in action.


UAG proudly recognizes Dr. Anthony Martinez for his leadership at the Doing It in the Desert Conference in Phoenix, where he presented his innovative clinic model integrating liver care and addiction services—advancing national efforts toward hepatitis elimination and equitable patient care.


UAG alumni gathered in El Paso to reconnect and celebrate their shared legacy, highlighting mentorship, collaboration, and lifelong friendship within the community.




Dr. Eduardo Rosas-Blum, UAG graduate, is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist in El Paso, former Division Chief at Texas Tech El Paso, and 2019 El Paso Children’s Hospital Physician of the Year.

On August 26th, UAG Alumni from 1976 to 2025 gathered at Margaritaville in Chicago for a memorable reunion, sharing stories, reconnecting, and celebrating the lasting impact of their alma mater.




Dr. Adrian Garza Cavazos, UAG alumnus, joins University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center’s Women’s Health team, bringing expertise in obstetrics, gynecology, and patient-centered care for women in Southern Maryland.




On May 31st, the UAG Alumni Association launched the Austin Chapter with a lively mixer at La Popular, uniting graduates to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate their shared UAG experience.
